Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 Golconda was established in 1984 in a temporary building. In 1993, the school moved to its own newly constructed premises within the campus of the 47 Infantry Brigade, Mehdipatnam. The school has since developed into a three-section institution known for its consistent academic performance and holistic development programs.
Located between the scenic Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills in Hyderabad, the Vidyalaya enjoys a prime location near the bustling Hi-Tech City. It is approximately 21 kilometers from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and 5 kilometers from Nampally Railway Station.
